The Top Ten Reasons Why to Join LME Chess Club

1) The Chess Club is open to all students. No knowledge of chess is required. The purpose of the club is to teach beginners how to play and to provide experienced players the opportunity to play both recreational and competitive chess.
2) Membership at recognized award-winning school Chess Club program. Parents, please visit the LME Chess Club Wall of Recognition.
3) All members to sit at Tables in the school cafeteria.
Timings: 6:45am-7:40am every Friday morning.
4) Students will learn to use Chess Clocks (Digital) and take Notations.
5) Each student to receive a copy of the Tactics workbook.
6) Specialized Instruction/Training by Parent Chess Coaches.
7) Participate in practice games every Friday.
8) Training for Region 6 tournament.
LME: Titleholder for Primary & Elementary Team Championship since 2004.
9) Training for Texas Scholastic Chess Championship.
LME: Titleholder for Elementary Team Championship 2005, 2006.
10) Participate in 2 club level Tournaments & Awards Ceremony.
